Typhoon Co-may, the eighth storm of the year, made its second landfall in the Fengxian District of Shanghai at 4:40 p.m. on July 30. Winds near the storm’s center reached 23 meters per second, causing widespread damage as rooftops were torn off and trees were uprooted along the streets.
