In March of this year, North Korean state media released rare footage of a new, massive submarine sitting on an indoor shipyard. The submarine, with a sleek black surface, displayed complete structure and cables in place, indicating a high level of completion. This marked the first time North Korea publicly exposed the construction site of the long-rumoured ballistic missile nuclear submarine, which in itself is highly unusual.
