4 Super Typhoons Hit China At Once: Hundreds Of Thousands Trapped In 3-Meter-Deep Floodwaters

A rare and severe flood struck Ningming County in Chongzuo City, Guangxi Province, near the China-Vietnam border, on August 23. Local residents said the water rose suddenly, reaching more than 10 feet deep in less than an hour. Floodwaters have now reached the second floor of some homes, leaving residents without time to move belongings or prepare supplies. With water and power cut off, many families with elderly people and children say they have been left to fend for themselves.
