With Iran under blockade and the Chinese Communist Party unable to obtain cheap crude, widespread fuel shortages are emerging across China. The National Development and Reform Commission announced that, effective at midnight at the end of October 29, standard gasoline was due to rise by 440 yuan and diesel prices were due to rise by 420 yuan per metric ton.
