Why Charlie Kirk’s murder and a Chinese Actor’s death are connected

The deaths of two young men made me reflect on the harm of communism. Charlie Kirk’s assassination revealed how deeply communist ideology has influenced young Americans, while the suspicious death of Chinese actor Yu Menglong exposed the CCP’s corruption and exploitation of ordinary people. The responses could not have been more different: candlelight vigils and global protests honored Kirk, while news of Yu’s death was swiftly censored in China. To me, these stories point to a larger truth: the CCP’s ideology divides societies and spreads turmoil far beyond China’s borders. Its collapse is inevitable—but when it falls, it may drag others down with it.
