In many cases, only the main camera or one basic lens is actually used for photography. The other openings are often just plastic rings, decorative pieces, or non-imaging components such as infrared sensors or depth sensors. In other words, manufacturers use “fake camera holes” to create a premium visual appearance, disguising technical limitations as part of the design language.
