Chery EV Disaster in Malaysia! Rear Axle Beam and Both Wheels Suddenly Detach at 85 km/h

According to AsiaOne, a Chery Omoda 5 was traveling normally at about 53 mph (85 km/h) when an unusual noise suddenly came from the rear. It had neither collided with another vehicle nor run over an obstacle. The entire rear axle beam then separated from the body, along with the trailing arms, shock absorbers, brake lines, and both rear wheels. The whole assembly fell onto the road. With the rear suddenly unsupported, the car spun and slid out of control. Fortunately, no one was injured or killed.
