All China Is Shaking: 59 Quakes In 3 Weeks, Mountains Crack, Birds Flee Nests

Since late June, earthquake activity in China appears to have increased. According to China Earthquake Networks Center, at least 59 earthquakes of magnitude 3 or above occurred across China between June 28 and July 18, with earthquakes recorded almost every day. Among them, Sichuan reported 23 earthquakes, Xinjiang 12, Qinghai 10, Yunnan 9, Tibet 2, Inner Mongolia 2, and Jiangsu 1. There were also 16 earthquakes of magnitude 4 or above, including four magnitude 5 or above.
