On August 16, at a supermarket in Henan Province, staff had just rolled out boxes of discounted instant noodles when waiting customers immediately rushed forward. Some reached out with their hands, while others used plastic bags to grab as many as they could. During the scramble, some of the noodle packages were even thrown onto the floor.
