At 8:40 a.m. on September 16, 2026, a massive landslide struck Shidaguan Village in Mao County, Aba Prefecture, Sichuan Province. Videos show yellow earth mixed with huge rocks pouring down from the mountain like a massive wave. Thick dust rose into the sky like a giant mushroom cloud. The enormous landslide carried trees and buildings down the slope, burying multiple structures and sections of the river channel below within seconds. The person filming repeatedly shouted, “Oh my God! Oh my God! This is terrifying!”
