On August 7, a major announcement swept through China’s auto industry: Chevrolet officially stopped selling new vehicles in the Chinese market. General Motors confirmed that Chevrolet will no longer introduce new models or operate new vehicle retail sales in China. SAIC-GM factories will only maintain production capacity for Chevrolet vehicles made for overseas export markets.
