Due to Typhoons Trami and Kong-Rey, Hainan Province in China has been hit by heavy downpours, leading to severe flooding in multiple cities. To make matters worse, on the evening of October 30th, two reservoirs upstream of Hainan's Wanquan River released floodwaters simultaneously, submerging Qionghai City and 123 surrounding villages downstream. Vast areas of farmland are now underwater, causing devastating losses.
