On March 16th, female vlogger Ren Caiyun posted a video stating that large ships, some over 10,000 tons and 20,000 tons, are all anchored in the Yangtze River with no cargo to load.
The Yangtze River, known as the economic lifeline of China, has seen a sharp decline in activity by March 2025. Once dubbed the "Golden Waterway," this vital shipping route is now eerily silent, with many vessels left without cargo, leaving crew members struggling to make a living.
