Xi Jinping’s most prominent political enemy Jiang Zemin has died. The two have engaged in a life-and-death fight for 10 years. On December 6, Xi Jinping hosted a state funeral for Jiang and gave him high praises in the eulogy. Meanwhile, the former CCP leader, whom Xi Jinping removed at the Party Congress, Hu Jintao, reappeared publicly. Xi made an unusual effort to show camaraderie during Jiang’s funeral.
