Sub-Zero Disaster: Victims in Thin Tents Denied Aid, CCP's Charities Only Seek Money

.

On December 18, 2023, at 23:59, a 6.2 magnitude earthquake struck Jishishan County, Gansu Province. The earthquake triggered landslides, instantly burying two villages under 3 meters of mud. As of December 24, the earthquake resulted in at least 149 fatalities, 979 injuries, and 3 missing persons. Over 15,000 houses were destroyed. The direct economic loss amounted to 532 million yuan (approximately 75 million US dollars).
While people mourn the victims and those affected by the disaster, several questions and doubts have emerged:
Did the Chinese authorities predict the earthquake? Was there an emergency plan and were people informed?
Were the abnormal pre-earthquake phenomena, like ground cracking and emitting steam, and unusual animal behavior, noticed by the government?
Why was the earthquake rescue operation hastily concluded within 15 hours? Why did the government refuse civilian and external aids?
The earthquake was only 6.2 in magnitude, not considered a major earthquake, so why did it cause significant casualties and economic losses?
