On May 5, Malaysia’s Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI) announced that starting May 6, it will be the only authority allowed to issue non-preferential certificates of origin (NPCOs) for exports to the US. It will no longer allow local chambers, associations, or other authorized bodies to issue these certificates.
