On March 2, a large-scale protest broke out at the Indonesia Morowali Industrial Park (IMIP), the country’s biggest nickel industrial zone. Indonesian workers went on strike after the management forced them to take company buses to enter the park. The protest turned violent, with workers setting vehicles on fire, attacking Chinese employees, and clashing with the police.
