600 kg TV Screen Fell and Struck Dancers at Mirror Concert in Hong Kong

Hong Kong mega boy group Mirror opened their twelve sold-out concerts “MIRROR We Are Live” at the Hong Kong Coliseum on July 25. Local fans were prepared to enjoy the show. However, their excitement was disrupted by a horrifying accident at the concert on July 28. The serious accident left two dancers injured. One is still in critical condition on July 30. The band and dance crews also didn’t have enough time to rehearse as they only had one full dress rehearsal each night before the concert. One of the dancers was injured during rehearsal the previous morning. Concert Organizer and Mirror’s Management Company, Makerville, ignored the criticism. Fans have noticed dangerous technical errors occur on stage. Dancers and band members were injured during rehearsals in the first three shows. On the first night, band members grabbed hold of each other, as some of them nearly fell off a sky bridge. Another band member also fell off a stage platform in the middle of his performance. When disaster struck on July 28, tragedy came on the fourth night of Mirror’s concert. At about 8:30 p.m., a 200-inch TV screen fell from the ceiling and plunged onto two dancers. The 600kg screen hit one of the dancers on the head, who immediately fell. The TV screen then toppled, landing on the dancer’s body and another who couldn’t escape in time.
